. Snake Statement Necklace

I created this piece to celebrate the Chinese New Lunar Year of the Snake 🐍 

I used a beautiful piece of natural Agate for the base against which the snake lies and labradorite for the markings on its back.

I wanted to make this piece mostly in colours of gold and red as they hold a special place within Chinese culture. I made the flames of the sun in hand woven gold plated wire and alternated them with red agate beads.

The moon beams around the other side have been added in labradorite, black spinel and red coloured agate.
